Con la participación de la Orquesta Filarmónica Juvenil y el Coro Filarmónico Juvenil.

Estrenada en 1936, esta obra ha sido considerada por los musicólogos españoles como la "última gran zarzuela de la historia". Se trata de una historia de contrabando y amor que ocurre en un pueblo del norte de España, donde abundan las tabernas y los marineros. Además, es una muestra de las influencias musicales europeas y norteamericanas en la música española del siglo XX. Esta producción del Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid llega al Teatro Mayor bajo la dirección musical de Miquel Ortega y la dirección escénica de Mario Gas. Participan la Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá y el Coro Nacional de Colombia.
